The short version
The MoveHalo iOS app reads step count and active energy from Apple Health only after you grant permission. The app stores your goals, preferences, and a latest aggregate progress snapshot locally on your iPhone. MoveHalo does not sell, rent, share, or use Health data for advertising.
Apple Health data
MoveHalo may request read-only access to:
- Step count
- Active energy burned
MoveHalo does not write to Apple Health. Authorization is managed by iOS, and you can review or revoke access at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings. If you decline access, the app can still show its interface but cannot display current Health progress.
Information stored on your device
Daily goals, onboarding status, notification preferences, goal-completion records, and the latest aggregate progress snapshot are stored locally using Apple platform storage. An App Group shares only the information needed for MoveHalo widgets to render. This information is not uploaded to a MoveHalo server.
Notifications
If you opt in, MoveHalo may schedule a local notification when a daily target is reached. Notification permission is optional and can be changed in iOS Settings. No remote push-notification service is used.
Website data
This website does not include analytics, advertising pixels, account creation, or tracking cookies. A future hosting provider may temporarily process standard technical information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp to operate and secure the site. Its handling would be governed by the selected host’s infrastructure terms.
Support messages
If you email support, the information you choose to send—including your email address and message—will be used to respond and troubleshoot. Please do not include Health data or screenshots containing sensitive information unless specifically needed.
Children’s privacy
MoveHalo is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not create user accounts or operate a data-collection service.
Changes and contact
This policy may change when the product or hosting setup changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Questions can be sent through the Support page.
